Ok, I'm feeling immensely silly and guilty about this, but I *always* wanted to practice
Dragon Breeding for Pleasure and Profit...

*makes pathetic puppy eyes*
ETA: My first beloved egg is cured from its sickness! Yay! *parades around again*
ETA 2: OMG, they're starting to crack! *is very excited*

Date: 2008-09-26 08:16 pm (UTC)I just want to try and turn this egg into a dragon (first time I try, myself - apparently, people clicking on the eggs helps with that). And because it's so totally HP OT, I at least thought I should throw in Hagrid's manual for Norbert ;).

Date: 2008-09-27 04:03 pm (UTC)The only thing that concerns me is that every time I click on it and get transferred to the website my computer's spy ware defenses act up and tell me that this site is known to harbor spy ware. Might want to check your computer for it. just saying...

Date: 2008-09-27 04:46 pm (UTC)Could you do me a favour? Can you tell me which spyware scanner of yours is bringing it up, and what exactly the message says that you get? I'll dump it on the site forums then, and point out there might be a problem.
As for the egg, I have three, and alternated them to give them all a bit of spotlight. One got too much too quickly and got sick, but has recovered now :).

Date: 2008-09-27 05:27 pm (UTC)And on the computer in the bedroom the warning did not show up -- weird I know. In the living room it did. Makes me wonder lol.
I send it from over there then -- when I get back on it lol.

Date: 2008-09-29 06:17 pm (UTC)And OMG, I thought Dragon Breeding for Pleasure and Profit was the name of the site and used it, OMG I'm stupid :( But it's so much better than Dragoncave.
I'm here. Do you think the green egg is the same breed? If so, I suppose it will be the smallest lizard-like green dragon.
My second egg died 'cos it got too many views and clicks in too short a time. I was very sad.
I already have a list of names prepared for when the hatch AND mature enough to see their sex :)

Date: 2008-09-29 07:45 pm (UTC)They all got sick 'cos I posted them and went to yoga, not having thought that 2K f-of list would give them a lot of views, considering flist refreshings, in the two hours I was offline. One of them even died. I was very sad! So I hid them in fog for a day, and now they are ok again. I think I'll post them with my upcoming post for an hour or so and see how it goes. If it's too much for them, I'll edit the post to remove them.
Btw, I believe your new egg is sick (if it is. Is it why you're hiding it?) not because of too much exposure but too few views in comparison to clicks. Adding it to this post for a while would cure it.
But by god! It's soooooo addictive. I'm playing like a child, with total abandon :D

Date: 2008-09-29 08:18 pm (UTC)The hidden egg is my experimental one - I'll unhide it two days or a bit more before dying, and see if I can get it to hatch in short time. Cruel, I know, but I'm very curious about the mechanisms behind this.

Me too - I sat at work wondering what my eggs were doing :).
