Marauders Map query

Can anyone help out a miserably bad reader of 'Deathly Hallows'? The Marauders Map? Did it survive the end of the story? If so, any hint who ended up with it? Still Harry's?

Heh, I only turn into a close reader after two or three reads, and still haven't read DH twice in full. Am so tempted to buy the pocketbook edition to have around here...

Afaik, Harry still has it in the end - he definitely still had it during the camping trip in DH, when he used it to cyber-stalk Ginny... I think it makes an appearance during the final battle too, but perhaps I read that in a fanfic instead. Sorry, not very helpful either...

I'm pretty sure it survived, too. I think Harry still had it at the end ... at least I can't recall anyone else taking it from him or it being destroyed.

Yep, presumably the assumption is that he tucked it back into the pouch at some point, and not mentioned again as it had no further role to play.

KH, that means that if you wanted to assume it had been dropped and picked up by J Random Character, or passed on by Harry to whichever character you wanted him to pass it on to, that would work.

There's an interview with JKR somewhere where she says she imagines Harry passed it on to James, and passed on the Invisibility Cloak to Albus Severus.
