Thanks to y'all who offered me an invite code - the site was faster and offered me to create an account after signing up with Open ID :).

That said, I know I saw this being discussed several times last months, but... does anybody have a handy link ready about how the access/'friending' system works as opposed to LJ? Until then, bear with me! Just trying to sort things out and kindof drowning in betawork at the same time ;).

Ah, am posting after 13 straight hours of sleep, and resembling a human being again instead of a slouching zombie :).

Yesterday started off like the migraine-day of hell where you can't even *think* of not going to work because there are people expecting you to do things for them, but then suddenly reserve karma kicked in big time... *and* the migraine toned down towards the afternoon.

1) I got a Dreamwidth account! Duh! As if you can't see that, right? Will try to make sense of it over the long weekend :). And will hunt down those of you I can!

2) A colleague who's moving flats gifted me with two small bookshelves! Something I wanted to buy for ages and is making me insanely happy :). Got them hand delivered up the stairs too!

3) After doing long-overdue shopping last night (involving three litres of milk and two cartons of juice and assorted heavy stuff) and managing to just miss the bus, one of my neighbours (whom I didn't even *recognise* as such, such is tenement anonymity) stopped next to me and offered me a lift home. Gifts of random kindness are the best!

4) SLEEP! Yay! :D
