Life is a nice place... but I wouldn't want to live there.

My best friend and her son (2 1/2) are over from the US for a visit, and I'm bouncing between ecstatic (haven't seen her for two years) and depressed (because she'll already be gone again in a few days). It's hardly time enough to get properly reacquainted! *sobs*

Ok, that's why I'm so slow with updates and email replies (though I'm sitting on some really good fics to rec...)
